It all started with me in Piedmont, i.e. more precisely with my family. I grew up here in Montafia, right in the heart of Monferrato. After moving out into the world i.a. With my studies and life in Munich, I then moved back to my home with Hans at the beginning of the millennium – together with the vision of a place where Germans and Italians come together in a wonderful region with good food and wine and regardless of language and culture have a good time. The plan failed: not only German and Swiss vacationers came, but also Japanese business people, American actors, Dutch comedians and even the New Zealand national team! Communication is always excellent, if necessary with hands and feet and inspired by Piedmontese food, wine and the good air. And I am always happy when it suddenly gets really quiet in the evening – because it tastes good!

Born and raised in Bavaria, I mainly had to explore the whole world by boat and then return to my home and find that there is not the most beautiful place for me behind the mountains: In Piedmont, I settled down even without a sea water connection , The conversion of my wife’s parental property into a modern yet very comfortable agriturismo combined with the home-grown products led to my dream come true: Spread joy and good taste with my family! I love the wonderful atmosphere when having dinner (cena) with guests (and often friends) with specialties from the region such as Truffles, pasta, formaggio and dolce, accompanied by excellent wines from the Langhe and Roero. And when one of my little legendary anecdotes ignites in between, I’m almost like Alois in heaven.

The junior is a truffle seeker and introduces you to the magical truffle world. A nice truffle search in the nearby forests and then a truffle walk at its finest is worth a trip to Piedmont.
