Alba, located on the right bank of the Tanaro river, is in the province of Cuneo, 50 km southeast of Turin and has about 30,000 inhabitants.
It is considered the capital of the Langhe and is made up of a thriving food and wine trade and not only among which red wine, white truffles, chocolate and silk stand out.
The medieval old town has a hexagonal base, it was reinforced and surrounded by walls demolished in the 18th century; it is called the “City of a hundred towers”, even if at the moment there are about twenty and are merged with the noble residences of the time.
It houses numerous shops, wine bars and restaurants that offer typical and artisan products of the area, specialties also exhibited in the International Truffle Fair held in October.
